Rapping Systems

Rosink rapping systems are mainly used in waste incinerators with horizontal boiler flues. Suspended evaporators, superheaters and economizers are cleaned by means of rapping.

Pneumatic cylinders or mechanical hammers are applied to rap on the reinforced back of horizontally arranged headers. The impact energy applied causes the vertically suspended heating surfaces to vibrate in order to remove the deposits.

Rosink’s pneumatic rapping systems have an electrically driven positioning carriage to move the impact cylinder to the rapping points. Pneumatic single rappers can be used for rapping points that are difficult to access.

Rosink’s mechanical rapping systems are cleaning the heating surfaces by means of drop hammers, which are arranged equispaced on a drive shaft.
